Geyser Report Monday, September 14, 2015 Low of 28, high of 54 degrees going into the park this AM--the largest spread over the drive that I can recall. Beehive: seems to have gone overnight Grand: 0127 GT, 0801 G2*Q Little Cub: 0715ie, 0832ie Castle: 0737 major Daisy 0814ns, 1120 GT Riverside: 1131 GT Grotto 0715ie GT Fountain: 1008, ended at 1035 Morning's Thief: 1008 and a second one 4 minutes later Great Fountain: 0229E "Rejuvenated": 0610ie Twig: 1029 A large bison herd was along Firehole Lake Drive early this AM, mostly W of the drive and between White Dome and Firehole Lake. After Grand, I drove to Fountain. For the entire time I was there, southbound traffic was backed up on the loop road. There was a herd of bison on the flat (not on the road). I had intended to return to Firehole Lake Dr after Fountain, but the stopped line of southbound cars extended out of sight in both directions as I tried to exit. A driver was kind and allowed me to turn north, and I headed home, relieved to leaving the mess behind. Still no sign of work on the road along Fountain Flat. They probably couldn't have reached the area had they tried! Barbara Lasseter -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
