I got a text from Will that Opal was in eruption which he sent shortly
before noon.  I didn't read it until after the Grand eruption at 1358
and then saw ranger Jim Sweeney at the Lower Hams.  He confirmed that it
was erupting.  I and visiting friend arrived around 3 pm and observed
for aabout 45 minutes.  It later drained at 1618.  The highest eruptions
we saw were around 25 feet, but I didn't capture those.  The attached
are around 15 feet I'd guess, but were massive and explosive.  My friend
Ijaz Malik made a short video which I'll try to send later.  All in all
it was a real treat to see.
