This isn't a geyser thing, but I don't mind Karen mentioning red-headed Andy. His initial chemo did fail and he just this week started the chemo and process for a stem cell transplant which will be done at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, although he lives in Indianapolis. We would love any good wishes, prayers, good thoughts as he goes through this difficult process with about a 50/50 success rate. He just turned 29. Our visit to Yellowstone this summer was a highlight before this next journey.

We got lucky and caught the 3-burst that was Grand-induced before we left in August (August 18), and I noticed in Barb's reports that a lot of observed eruptions now Grand-induced. These had seemed rare previously, and I think every other one I've seen happened at the close of a Turban Delay. Market research????

I hope Jane Washington (gazer from Park City, UT) doesn't mind me mentioning, but her boy Andy was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma recently and did not improve with his first round of chemo, so can we keep both our fellow gazers in mind? ("Jane's boy" being about 27). Good luck to Jereb, if that's the right thing to wish.

After the five hour mark, the first fill of grand that even looked semi -OK at the 12 minute mark would be the one. Also\, its eruptions were tall, much taller than those before this fun time.

This happens between 60-75% of the time and Grand has erupted from a completely empty pool at times for this. Rick Hutchinson also noted it with my dad. This has lead to some spectacular frames of Grand, Castle, Old Faithful, and Beehive going at the same time. Once apparently Giantess joined in instead of Beehive.
