[Geysers] Grand without Grand?

My husband and I decided to walk down and see if we could catch and evening light Grand after dinner tonight. We walked to Castle and over, so if it erupted we would have thought we should have seen and heard it. We didn't. Sawmill Group was in a deep drain - my notes say at 1920. We spent a few minutes at Spasmodic because of the steam spray coming out from the right vent. Then we headed over to Grand. When we got there, Grand's pool was empty - like after an eruption empty. Vent and Turban were ie - Vent was tall. Rift was off. West Triplet was standing at half full, calm water. Percolator was off. But Grand was sending up jets of water that barely reached the top of Turban's eruption. I took a video and photos. 

I asked a visitor that was already there if they saw Grand erupt, and they said no. They saw it two days ago, so they knew what they should see. They also said that Vent had just started - at ~1920ns and that they thought Turban was already ie. Finally Vent and Turban quit at 1948.

Ideas on what happened?
