[Geysers] What did I see?

Activity of Round in the 1980's--

In the 1986 and 1991 editions of his book, Scott reported "Round returned to dormancy in 1981." In the 1995 and 2001 editions he added "Only a few additional eruptions took place during the energy surge of 1987-1988, and three or four were seen in late summer 1989. Minor eruptions, just 30 feet high, without the steam phases, were seen during the winter of 1989-1990." In the 2008 edition he added, "Round has not erupted since then..."

I was lucky enough to see one of the ones in 1989 (from a distance), and sure wish it had been more active in the 1980s (and would have continued to be active in the 1990s and 2000s).
