Late in July 1971 I made my first trip through the park; I was 19, and
I recall parking my 1965 Corvair (my first car) near Grotto Geyser/
Morning Glory. My mother was with me and she didn't walk very well at
the time, so I remember thinking I was glad we had a short walk to
Morning Glory Spring. Grotto was erupting, I have a photo of it. I
also remember driving by Castle Geyser on the way and commenting on
its size.

By the way, my ancient photo of Morning Glory shows that it was still
mostly blue then.
