I was only in the park for a short while today -- chilly following the
inch-plus of overnight snow (Craig Pass was closed) -- some of us begin to wonder
if winter will EVER get here. Anyhow--

For the previous day or so:

Plume remains dormant, as it has been since the 2nd.

Beehive was not recorded yesterday, and was shortly after 0700 today (with
an Indicator).

Lion had a series of three eruptions, the third preceded by about three
minutes by a minor.

Grand had had consecutive intervals of 8h45m (T2-), 7h02m, and 7h45m.

Fan and Mortar gave a valiant try this morning shortly after 0800. There
might have been a pause before it was observed. At about 0816 it "tried" to have
a River Vent pause along with considerable Main Vent splashing and strong
Bottom vent action (before I got there Bottom had discharged enough to reach the
river). When the vents came on (Gold at 0829, Angle at 0833) there was
really good water in the vents until about 0845, but then ... alas.

I don't know if Grotto was a marathon or not, but it had been on for quite a
long time as of 0800 (Variable down and boiling strongly, Spa full and
boiling, Bijou all-but off) but as late as about 1030 there was a Giant Hot
Period. Duration around 7 1/2 minutes, not much Mastiff.

Saw several things in the Lower Basin, but no intervals except to note that
Great Fountain was at 1728 (P=8) yesterday and in eruption at 0600 today.

Also of note. This morning on the drive in, at approximately 0715 Firehose
was not on. At 1111 it was on, and this was the first time I've seen it in
2005. Yet by 1134 it was off again.
