I didn't get around to posting anything yesterday, which was a mostly sunny but very windy day. To be fairly nice today (4/26) but a winter storm with possible heavy snow tomorrow. Before anything else, because of various human errors, our record for Grand has been subject to change. So following is the complete and correct record for the past five days, given as Date/Time/Interval/Code 4-21/0842e/---/--- 4-21/1623e/7h41m/--- 4-21/2339e/7h16m/--- 4-22/0924/9h45m/T1C 4-22/1844/9h20m/--- 4-23/0340e/8h56m/--- 4-23/1010/6h30m/T2Q 4-23/1829/8h29m/--- 4-24/0130e/7h01m/--- 4-24/0924/7h54m/T1C 4-24/1625/7h01m/--- 4-25/0009e/7h44m/--- 4-25/0643e/6h34m/--- Notes: Yesterday Grand still had not erupted as 1632, so the next Turban was going to put it up to 10 hours plus or minus a minute or two. That interval was "Rifted," but that Rift began at 1335 and only lasted about 45 minutes... Also in the above, both 0924 times and both 7h01m intervals are correct. Castle had had a long-duration minor at 02xx that apparently led to a minor interval of around 8 hours. Despite the strong wind, Daisy had intervals of 2h34m and 2h13m. Giant is having a lot of good hot periods. On Sunday evening, 4-24, there was one with a duration of 9m 04s that included Turtle reaching 3 to 4 feet high and continuing fully a minute after Feather had turned off. On Monday afternoon, anothr GHP lasted 8m 45s and had Turtle to over 1 foot. However, during these Mastiff's surging seldom reaches over 2 feet high, if that, and there is little action in Giant. Note also, that these hot periods tend to start after Bijou has been "anemic" (really weak jetting, so weak that it is difficult to tell if it is on or off) for as long as an hour before the hot period starts -- this is not due to Grotto marathon activity. Still no good handle on Fountain -- on 4/25 at 0800 it had apparently been quite a while since the previous eruption and it did not erupt again until 1313ie. Beehive had erupted during the 4/24-25 night and was _very_ quiet all day. No Fan and Mortar, and the river is rising and muddying. I believe the report of Link the other day, but some have questioned it due to a lak of any visible disturbance of bacterial mats and etc. Perhaps Kendall can give us a description of what he saw.
