Byron and I got an interesting walk-up F&M today. River and High were both ie when we got there around 12:30. High was very strong. Nearly constant to 6' or more. Only twice, that I recall, did High pause at all, and it came back stronger both times. Just before the eruption it was steady at 10' or so and landing in Main vent. But Gold never got above 1' or so until just prior to the eruption, and was mostly just off. And Angle was a fumarole. Odd. At least I thought so. So, for most of 10 minutes it looked like a High solo major. Mortar 1243. F&M duration 13. I had my critter lens on, so couldn't get any wide shots, but I did get some very brief videos. (Which may not actually be available, as UTube still claims to be "processing" them as I send this.) Fan 1236. High dwindling toward 2nd (High vent) pause. [River vent was on the entire time AFAIK.]https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tyxbALh6_RE Fan 1238. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=VzLQzSHvm10 Mortar start 1243.https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3vgppBTsTR0 Fan 1249.https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=b4Dlc0LvPR4 May the fourth be with you, Tom Carberry -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
