Geyser Report Tuesday, September 8, 2015

First, a concern about ysterday's Fountain time as I reported (0614ie and
over before 0620).  The time does not appear to jive with the expected
eruption timing.  I have to acknowledge that in the first light of a cold
morning there is a possibility I mis-interpreted the steam I saw as I drove
past.  When in doubt, I do not as a rule report the time, but I must
concede I could have been wrong on this one.   The "over" time was because,
once I had circled to Great Fountain, the larger second steam closest to
the road was no longer there. For neither time did I walk out to Fountain
to view the crater--it was 20 degrees!

Temps in low 20's again this AM all the way to Old Faithful, and again
developing into a gorgeous day (sunny and low 60's) by late morning.

Castle: reported by Jim Scheirer at the 0700 geyser report as being
post-major, and 1144 major GT
Grand: 0538 frs, 1310 GT
Oblong: 0741 frs
Fountain: 0717 d=30 (unsure of the source), 1156 D=25 Maureen Edgerton
Great Fountain: 0147E  I left about 1300 with no overflow yet.
