[Geysers] Activity of Gemini Geyser June 13 - 20

I thought I was seeing a smaller proportion of cases where Pebble came to overflow prior to the start of Gemini in the final week I was in the Park on my last trip. Once I got home and had a chance to analyze the data I had collected, I realized not only had the proportion of Gemini series preceded by overflow from Pebble decreased, with a concurrent decrease in the interval between series, but the number of eruptions within a series had also shown a statistically significant decrease. I did not observe any series of 7 or 8 eruptions during the last week of my observations.

It appears I will be able to return to Yellowstone July 2 through about the 20 and will be collecting additional data on Gemini to determine whether the changes in activity persist.

In the meantime, I'm looking for one or two people who subscribe to The Sput to review the article about activity of geysers in the White Dome Complex for May 23-20 that I've prepared for the August Sput. I should have the article available for review by tomorrow (Tuesday 6/30) morning. I don't intend to make extensive revisions to the article since I plan to spend most of my time between 7/2 and 7/15 out in the geyser basins. I'm primarily seeking input on whether the explanations of activity are understandable. Please email me privately at lstephens2006 at hotmail.com if you are interested in reviewing the article. Since I'm leaving town again on Thursday (7/2) I won't have time to do additional research to add sections on historic behavior, etc. If you think there's a section that needs to be expanded with additional research, here's an opportunity for someone to write a supplementary article expanding on the sections on historical activity I have included. (For example, I haven't included any discussion on sources of names.) I'm also working on a fairly short deadline since I will submit the article to Genean no later than July 15, so will need any comments returned to me by Tuesday, July 7.

Thank you.
