Geyser Report Saturday, June 13, 2015

Low 30's this AM, clear and sunny but breezy. Great visibility. Low
70's coming home. Still visible pollen in the air, but not as severe
as yesterday. A red squirrel leaping from branch to branch in a pine
tree near Artemisia generated puffs of pollen as he went. Lots of
outbound traffic on the W entrance road as I went prior to 0600, at
least compared to other mornings. (the weekend transition?) The
mid-June slump in visitor traffic seemed very brief this summer.

The Biscuit parking lot has some big paving patches, smoothing out
some large potholes. Power Line Trail and Mary Mountain Trail remain
closed. I have not seen activity in the OF lots yet, but I usually
go only as far as the Lower Store. Go easy driving past 3
Sisters--the cut across the road for the new sewer line has gotten
rough with the heavy traffic.

I spent most of the AM at Artemisia, (in overflow). Despite the warm
sunshine, the breeze was chilly and I left without an eruption.
