Geyser Report Saturday, June 6, 2015

I went to Norris this AM. Since I have never seen ledge erupt, I was
picking up tips. Apparently one would have hoped for more water than
we were seeing. It was a beautiful day, however. If there is no
eruption before then, I'll return in the AM.

There was a tree between me and Constant Geyser for the start of the
day, then the cool breeze and geyser spray drove me to a bench higher
on the hillside where I could not see Constant at all. Others may
have better times, but here is what I did see:

Constant: 0814frs, 0905 (0908 2nd burst), 0957 (0959, 1001), 1056
(1059, 1101), 1304-1305-1307 -- may have missed the 1st burst.

A bit of a traffic jam N of Gibbon Falls where the fox and kits were
out of the den along the roadside (across from Iron Spring picnic area
at the base of a large boulder).

I heard that the boardwalk construction in the Porcelain Basin
includes more fencing. There were many folks off trail today, often
visitors from far away. It's a shame we can't have invisible fencing,
or maybe fine/sanction/ban those tour operators whose folks repeatedly
offend.

There have been complaints about the OF Lodge cafeteria replacing the
"American" line (trout, meatloaf, turkey, etc.), with a second
noodle/teriyaki line. Fortunately, I have a kitchen at home.
