The website of the BBC currently has a travel feature entitled "Five Days in Russia's Ring of Fire". The link on the site leads to information on Kamchatka's natural features, including Kronotsky Volcano, wildlife and a link to "Valley of the Geysers". On this link there are photos, including side-by-side photos of geyser areas before and after the landslide. There is also information about buried geysers, a few perhaps recovering and some that started after the slide. The BBC article indicates that the park is now encouraging ecotourism, but it is EXTREMELY limited. The website is www.bbc.co.uk If the article is no longer on the BBC site, you can go directly to the geyser information by entering www.kronoki.org/territories/reserve/unique/20. However, I strongly recommend the BBC article. Jim Scheirer -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: </geyser-list/attachments/20140212/3bae263d/attachment.html>
