The FRS channel used by gazers is Ch. 4 (462.6375 MHz). The most common
radio used are Motorola models. On those Motorola models supporting sub
channel interference eliminator codes the setting is 5 (79.7 Hz) which is PL
WB. The subchannels are CTCSS.

After my personal experience with my VR-5X, I went to Motorola Talkabouts
for simplicity of operation.

Hello,
We will be in Yellowstone from October 2 - 6 and wanted to confirm the radio
channel and security code for GOSA users. The channel and security code had
been 4.2 some time ago. Is that still the correct one? Also, our radios have
two security code systems - CTCSS and DCS. Which is the better one to use?
Thank you for your assistance.
Robert and Susan Sharp
