I’d venture to say that this is not a high priority for most of us on the list.  Gazing is our hobby.  Besides moving slowly perhaps that’s why the discussion diverged.  We are a diverse group splintered into sub-groups with individuals out on the fringes.  Herding us is like herding chickens.

 

Data gaps have been, and always will be there unless monitoring becomes a 24/7/365 activity.  That’s unlikely to ever happen.  One would hope that shrinking those gaps would be significant enough to justify the effort.  However, there could be some harm if a percentage of assumptions is wrong.  But in the grand scheme of things, how important is this, really?

 

Since you are much more engaged than the rest of us I suggest that you proceed with your plan and see how it goes.  Changes can always be made later on.
