THIS REPORT IS FOR THE PERSONAL USE OF THE READERS OF THIS LISTSERV AND IS NOT TO BE REPRODUCED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE, INCLUDING PUBLICATION IN THE SPUT OR TRANSACTIONS. I started and ended the day (5/28) at Great Fountain. The 0514 eruption of Great Fountain had seven bursts, giving a 94 minute duration, so I knew the next interval was going to be long. I said it wouldn't erupt until at least 8 pm, and could hold until after dark. There was still some light when it erupted at 2116, but not much. I watched the first few minutes, just enough to make certain it didn't have a superburst, then left, after asking the person parked in the middle of the road to please move his vehicle so I could get out. As Barbara reported, Narcissus had a short duration eruption at 1035. That had been preceded by a long duration eruption 0743ns, and was followed by eruptions at 1547ie and 2002ie--for intervals of about 2h42m, 5h12m, and 4h15m. I know, the interval pattern seems a bit strange. I finally saw an eruption of Pink today (5/28), which had a duration of about 10 minutes. I was able to keep the pickup windows down much of the day today, and never heard any gurgling sounds from Dilemma. Still no Labial's Satellite Vents seen, but I did get an interval on Labial of just a few minutes under 9 hours. I left Firehole Lake Drive long enough to get a Till major early this afternoon for a double interval that averaged just under 10h25m. White Dome continued to have a high proportion of long intervals. (I'll try to get numbers crunched when I get home earlier some evening.) Pink Cone erupted at 0820, with a duration of 94 minutes. Estimated interval would be roughly 23 hours. Lynn Stephens -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: </geyser-list/attachments/20120529/ce570df5/attachment.html>
