For some years we have seen a little sput in the Castle runoff channel (now unused) that is on the side of the boardwalk toward Terracotta near the bridge to Sawmill. On 15 and 16 August 2012 the sput was having muddy eruptions and building a gravel cone, thus it is being called Gravel Cone. The nearby grass has a light coating of mud from eruptions. The water was still muddy but not as thick on 17 August and eruptions have continued. The crater is becoming deeper, but the nearly constant eruptions continue to splash water out of the cone a few inches. Perhaps someone could post a picture.
