Greetings, Actually, Dark Cavern can be heard from most of the Norris Geyser Basin when it is steam phase. This is especially so during any "disturbance activity" that effects that area of the Basin. On numerous occasions I have heard Dark Cavern from Porkchop, Green Dragon, Echinus and in places out in 100 Springs Plain. I have heard Ledge from some areas. But not as far as Dark Cavern. Again, during "disturbance activity", I have heard Yellow Funnel from Echinus. Green Dragon has been heard from there as well. During a very strong disturbance in August, 1995, "Bastille Geyser" was heard from the housing area when it was in a very hot, high pressure steam phase.
