I can add two from the list; Crack and Eclipse Geyser both from 1988.

With more and more people scanning their old photos and slides and putting them online, I've found that there's a pretty good number of interesting old Yellowstone pictures entering the mix. Some examples from Google's Picasa, found by entering things like "Yellowstone 1945" in the search bar (you may need to be logged into a Google account to see some of these):

I'm not sure what this one is of, but the surroundings say "Norris" to me (1950):

  From the same user, Castle in 1950;

Scroll to the bottom of this index for a set of slides from the 50s including the one above:

I _think_ this is along the road that no longer goes through Potts Hot Springs:

I guess this in King Geyser at West Thumb in 1956? (click "View All" to see the rest of the album):

Yellowstone starts at photo number 877 in this gallery from 1948, which includes photos of Mammoth, Norris, the canyon, and the lobby of the ill-fated Canyon Hotel:

Anyway, you get the idea. I've gotten similar results from Flickr, and I imagine the same would be true for any of the other photo sharing web sites out there. Sooner or later, something really unusual is bound to show up from someone's old slide file or photo album.

Along those lines, part of the reason I do searches like this every so often is because there are features that I've found it very hard to find pictures of online (or otherwise, for that matter). Pretty much anything that happened after the advent of digital cameras, no matter how rare, is out there, but a lot of older activity isn't. So, out of curiosity, does anyone have at easy reach a digital copy of:

  Eruption photos of:

  Bench Geyser
  Myriad Geyser
  Round Geyser
  Abuse Spring
  Spectacle Geyser
Turtle Geyser (more than the 1-2' bipping it did during Giant in 2006-'07)
  A Chain Lake besides Link
  Green Spring
  Jelly Geyser
Mastiff being 1950s-style big (100ish+ feet) (I think there were a few since the '50s?)
  Resurgent Geyser
  Daisy's Thief
  Crack Geyser
  Eclipse Geyser
  "Coronet" Geyser
  "Slot" Geyser
  Silver Spring
East Sentinel early in an eruption (when it's still big and vertical)
  Pinwheel Geyser
  Thumb Geyser
  King Geyser
  Silver Globe "Pool"

  A photo of:

Norris Pool when it was still a small pool of boiling muddy water (before it expanded into a full-fledged mudpot in 1995)
East Triplet during the brief period it was cleared in the 1980s
The parking lot at Daisy Geyser
The developed area at West Thumb before it was removed

Finally, nothing to do with photos, but, starting about 15 years ago, I maintained an online list of eruptions of Giant since it went dormant in 1955. I stopped maintaining it after the 1996-1998 active phase, and my copy went away when my college web site was wiped after I graduated. I think I remember that someone, maybe several someones, kept updating it, though, and I was wondering if there's a current version out there somewhere? Googling hasn't yielded any results.
