[Geysers] A snowy geyser basin on 1/22 (and Fan & Mortar overnight)

Twice now Fan & Mortar have gone overnight though visiting gazers would wish otherwise.   Several of us most likely missed a Castle eruption since the snow was so heavy this morning, and the visitor center wouldn't have known Grand erupted at 1055 had Graham Meech not radioed it in.

 

If you noticed hooded figures right in front of the webcam (after dragging a long ladder through the new snow), the streaming cam was worked on today and now works, though a new camera may be needed.  Enjoy while you can.

 

And in other news, Old Faithful NPS residents received earthquake safety information hand delivered last night, which may be why the quake activity seems to be quieter today...
