FYI: Steve’s carols were printed in the December edition on page 3.  I suppose his email was intended for non-subscribers.  Thanks for bringing gazer joy to the season, Steve.

Dear Fellow Gazers,

The editors of the Sput needed to remind me of my yearly obligation.  As of late my spirit has been o'ertaxed by the daily rigors of academe and undernourished due to the lack of geyser gazing.  I have supplied carols since 1997 at a rate of two per year, which adds up to . . . um . . . several hundreds.  How can my poor brain be so fecund as to create yet more?  But lo, another holiday miracle has occurred so that you may revel and marvel at this season's creations.  To wit:

Go Tell It To A Ranger
(to the tune of “Go Tell It On The Mountain”)

Go tell it to a ranger,
Though he is not so unaware,
Go tell it to a ranger,
That tourists sure are dumb.

A man at Crested Pool
Asked me if it was hot.
He dipped his little finger in
Though I said he should not.

Go tell it to a ranger,
Though she is not so unaware,
Go tell it to a ranger,
That tourists sure are dumb.

A tourist from Ohio
Thought bison hair so soft,
He pulled a hank from one big bull
And he was hurled aloft.

I Saw A Central Vent Delay
(to the tune of “I Saw Three Ships on Christmas Day”)

I saw a Central Vent Delay,
On op’ning day, on op’ning day,
I had to wait to my dismay,
On op’ning day in the morning.

And Grotto Fountain would not play,
On op’ning day, on op’ning day,
The puny Central Vents did spray,
On op’ning day in the morning.

I wish those vents would go away
