Please read all three items.
1) Thank you Carolyn for sending the OFVC logbook. It is greatly
appreciated.
2) The original files Carolyn sends are much higher quality than those
I'm posting. I'll see if we can put the original pdf files onto the
GOSA website. Each weeks files are approximately 20MB so I've been
compromising for those with slow connections. But I'm sure some will
want the high quality originals.
3) Thank you to everyone that takes the time and effort to input data
into the logbook. I know this can be a pain. Please know that your
efforts are appreciated.
Over the past few years we've been relying on Lynn and Mary Beth to do
the dirty work. They took great pains to make sure that peoples data
got into the logbook. Unfortunately, that is not possible this year and
it shows! I can't believe how empty the logbook is. We are the ones
that are hurt when times don't get into the logbook. To be successful,
geyser gazers need to share information. The logbook provides a
centralized place for us to put that information. I'm being very
selfish here. I want to know what is going on. The logbook provides
the details that don't get onto the list serve. I doesn't matter if the
NPS wants the information or scientists of park visitors. What matters
is that we, the geyser gazer community, want the information. So please
take the time to get your data into the logbook. Your efforts will be
greatly appreciated.
Dave
