It is not nice to rain on the Emperors GREAT IDEAS!!  If we really wanted a camera up there, including winter time, I bet we could run a "hot" line from the New and Impvroved Visitor Center to the top of the Inn.  Enough whining for today.  It looks like I will be in the Park next week Lynn...see you then.

One of the problems with installing a webcam on the top of the Inn is that the Inn does not have a power supply for several months during the year.

For capturing those great shots of Beehive and Oblong. Would it be too optomistic to think about having a 2nd camera installed on the roof of the Inn?  It would open up so many more possibilities for WATER confirmation and not leave me, or any other gazer,  guessing on which geyser was producing the steam cloud behind the ridge.  I certainly think that if GOSA has some funds to help the NPS with, this would be a great way to help.
