The geyser in the photo is Clepsydra. Jelly Geyser is the feature in the
background. This photo was taken pre 1959, when Clepsydra was a true geyser
erupting at 3ish minute intervals. The remains of this boardwalk can still
be found around Clepsydra.

Greetings from Bozeman, Montana. I got your email address from a Ranger
at Old Faithful. The attached picture was taken at a Yellowstone geyser
in 1956. I do not know which geyser it is. My wife and I talked with two
Rangers at Old Faithful who have each worked in the Park for 35 years.
Neither knew which one it might be. But they told us about your
organization and they felt certain you'd be able to identify it.
We would certainly appreciate any information you could give us. My
family was on a vacation to Yellowstone that summer from North Carolina
and I was six years old! I would love to return to this exact location.
Thank you.
