For all you lovers of little geysers... While keeping an eye on the streaming cam during Beehive's window, I have occasionally seen water splashing on what first appeared to be the downhill side of Beehive, but then later was obviously on the Old Faithful side of the river. Looking back at the geyser list archives, there was a discussion of the location of "Teapot Geyser" back in May 2008. I've attached a webcam shot marking the approximate location - though it's almost impossible for me to get a shot that shows water... So is this Teapot? And if so, was it active last year? Scott Bryan had mentioned in one of his posts in May 2008, "I actually have not seen Teapot in eruption in a very long time." It was determined that it was NOT Teapot that was being seen on the webcam in May 2008, but rather Split Cone (different location than what is marked on attached image).
