[Geysers] 1950's Inn

I advocate for removal of not only those trees but the bushes (willows?)
that were never there before. Lynn told me they grew from seeds that
were in the gravel used in the repavement project several years ago. In
other words, they're non-native to the area.

Thanks,
Udo Freund

The technical term is "vista enhancement" and is used to describe many
shrub/tree removal jobs in Yellowstone.

Another place where vista enhancement should be done is at Great
Fountain.
All those tall trees near the asphalt/boardwalk junction are on a berm
built for the road. They weren't there in the early 80s; in fact, they
impede the view from Rick H's 200-foot marker. I have videos from just
about every year that shows their growth.

I think that might be OK. In Yosemite, trees have been removed from a
handful of major historic scenic locations recently to restore views
that had been lost over the years; a similar argument could likely be
made for the front of the Inn.
