USGS Professional Paper 892 is titled "Physical Results of Research
Drilling in Thermal Areas of Yellowstone national Park, Wyoming." It contains
drillhole data for the holes Y-1 through Y-13 plus Carnegie I (Myriad) and
Carnegie II (Norris), and all the data for all the holes is summarized in Table
 3. To give a couple of depth vs temperature values:

Y-1 (Black Sand), depth 215 feet, temp 170.7C at 215 feet
Y-8 (Biscuit), depth 503 feet, max temp 169.8C at 342 feet
Y-5 (Rabbit Creek), depth 538 feet, max temp 170C at 248 feet
Y-2 (Firehole Lake), depth 516 feet, max temp 203C at 516 feet
Y-3 (Ojo Caliente), depth 514 feet, max temp 196C at 494 feet

Lots of info in this paper, which is 70 pages in length.

The list of other USGS reports, not all of which are downloadable, is at

(http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/yvo/publications/articles.php) . My search revealed no other
viewable reports on the Upper Basin's research drill holes. If anyone has them
and can provide us with contents related to this question please do so.
Enquiring minds want to know . . . .
