[Geysers] Thank you! and new Fan & Mortar marker

Thanks everyone so very much for the great information that I'll pass on to winter guides tomorrow.  !!

 

I've placed and replaced various markers on Fan & Mortar since I've been back, though I've not been able to check them as often as I would have liked.  It does appear to be erupting often though.  I won't detail the dates now, but we placed a new one December 10, and Steve Ballou just replaced it today, December 14.  There was new snow in the area, so it apparently didn't just erupt.  

 

In general the basin has a lot of new drifting, and more snow is coming.  The park has switched today to over-snow travel, and is mostly opening for the winter season tomorrow December 15.
