All times, unless otherwise noted, are from Tuesday, August 18.

The morning was a brisk one, the afternoon was comfortable, and it was
too cool for my liking once the sun began to set, but I was kept warm
by the thoughts and hopes for a Fan and Mortar eruption. There were no
event cycles all day. At 2007 Angle turned off, at 2013 there was a
huff out of Main Vent, and there was an attempt at a Gold pause. After
Gold and River failed to completely shut off, they came back with nice
water levels for about 2 minutes at which point they quickly degraded.
No eruption as of 2130.

Beehive erupted at 0815 this morning (Indicator 0804) for an interval
of 12h53m. It erupted again at 2033 (Indicator 2016) for an interval
of 12h18m.

Castle had a major seen in eruption at 0550. There was a minor at 2004
Daisy reported at 0609, 0853, 1136, 1402.

Fountain ended between 2015 and 2017.

The new OFVEC is beginning to look much better. You don't realize how
much of the exterior is actually a roof. From the back side (the side
you see from the Post Office), they have nearly completed putting
roofing on the left 2 tiers, the main arch, part of the right tiers,
and today they began working on the center part of the building's roof
on the back side. I am sorry if that seems confusing, I am not sure
how else to describe it. On the front side of the building (facing Old
Faithful), it appears they are preparing to lay down the cement for
the path. The wooden barriers are in place where the cement will not
be, and gravel is being put down. The main arch on the front has
roofing on it. I got a good look at the interior tonight because all
of the lights were on inside of it, and you can see where the walls
are going to be. I recommend taking a look at it at night from the Old
Faithful side for those of you who are coming to visit yet this year.
