Thanks to Scott for the arts quizzes. It reminds me that Peter
Hassrick's The Art of Yellowstone is a nice addition to a gazer's
library with its many high-quality reproductions of paintings of
geysers. The new one is, of course, Castle and Old Faithful. Thomas
Hill was best known for his work in Yosemite where he also knew John
Muir.

OK, you guys are pretty good, but Gryc got is the most correct --
Fountain, by Bierstadt, dated 1881.
Now one more that I simply post for the curiosity, painted by somebody
named hill in 1884.

I have seen Scott's bit of mystery art in the Buffalo Bill
Historical Center. The painting is of Fountain Geyser, and it is by
German born artist Albert Bierstadt.
