[Geysers] Updated Giant List

Hi All,

I have attached an updated Giant list reflecting the information I have received since I last posted:

1.  Michael Goldberg pointed out to me that I had missed a post in the archives; the webcam Giant report from Dec 10 came from John Warnock, posted on Dec 11.  That report was 1645ie via the streaming webcam and it was never confirmed to my knowledge.  The interesting part is that it would fit very well with the Grotto electronic data, which had a 19-hour marathon ending around 0900 that day.  Without electronics for Giant, I don't know if this eruption will ever be confirmed.  If Giant did erupt, it either didn't wash the signs, or the signs were replaced by someone who did not report it.

2.  Thanks to Carolyn for confirming that the TEXT of her April 5 post was correct:

Initially I believed that this meant that an eruption occurred between March 28 and April 4.  However, I did not see definite confirmation that the signs were replaced after the March 28 eruption.  I hate to bother you again Carolyn, but did you replace the signs twice?  Or only on April 4?

3.  I apparently did not explain myself well enough in regards to the sign replacement on April 28.  Rebecca Roland told me personally that she had replaced the signs at Giant when the trails reopened that day.  HOWEVER, I have not heard any report that the signs were replaced after the APRIL 16 eruption.  If no one replaced the signs on April 16 or 17, and the geyser basin was closed to all starting on the 18th, then the signs that Rebecca replaced on the 28th COULD HAVE BEEN washed by the April 16 eruption.  This could mean that no eruption occurred in the interim, or an eruption could have occurred and we would have no way of knowing since the signs were already down.
