Arrived at the Inn parking lot at 0738 and departed at roughly 1345 as there were things that I had to get done here in town before 4. Got 'er done again. Biscuit Basin is presently closed -- since last evening, a new carcass near Jewel is being enjoyed by a griz today... Gazers present as of this afternoon were Steve Eide and Darrell and Ann Scharf. A few scattered Plumes gave intervals of 60, 120/2, and 61 minutes. To yesterday's 0539 Beehive, add last evening 2034wc (interval 14h 55m) then today's Beehive's Indicator 1255, Beehive 1308 (interval 16h 34m). Note: the "West Bubblers" were not active at any time before this eruption, nor during the eruption. Lion 0852 initial, 1016, and 1132 minor. That was it, a series of only three. Aurum 1103 Castle was 0210E major, so I wasn't around for this afternoon's performance. Sawmill was 0738ie and off at 0816, on again at 0901 until after 1100 or so. Penta washed my marker sometime between yesterday 1300 and this morning 0830. West Triplet Yellow Intermittent Spring was just that this morning. Grand 0338E and 1304 (2B) -- we were on the Beehive "Overlook" for that one. I spent a few minutes in the VC and pulled the Grand times that were downloaded -- complete record from April 18 to today with two missing eruptions times. The total is 38 intervals. Mean = 8h 24m 24s, short = 6h 18m (4/30), long = 10h 46m (4/27). Use 8 1/2 +/- 2 hours for predictions and you'd miss 3 of the 38 (10:46, 10:32, and 6:18). I never made it down basin this morning due to hoards (well, too many anyhow) bison along the boardwalk, and I caught only one Daisy steam cloud (1221), no Oblong, and Grotto off until I saw it 1104ie and off by 1215. Steve got Fountain at 1111. Scott Bryan **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food.
