Hello Mr David Schwarz

Is it possible "The main vent" of Ledge geyser is different now ?

If, yes, Ledge geyser have no chance to erupt again with an angle
eruption.

Scott Bryand said in his book.

"The main vent is difficult to see from the trail. It lies to the far
right, it the are where the bench containing the finger vent drops off
to lower ground.
This opening, the "thumb", penetrates the hillsides at an angle...."
page 255 on third edition.

If you go on this exceptional site on the past of Yellowstone (is an
official site from YNP Service), it is exactly what is describe.

Thank you for your two pictures, Guardian geyser is visible very well,
is difficult to see it, because the steam is often an obstacle.

Best regards
