Mary Ann Moss had her own nomenclature for all of the vents, like SW1 and SW2. Either Mary Ann Moss or Mike K might have named it. I never heard of one - it was always "Hey, that thing over there is splashing." Followed by: "What thing?" Followed by pointing and explaining. However. Some of the jokes are funny, but this one is a *huge* stretch and I'm not ready to adopt a name that's based on tourists' misinterpretation of "Bijou" as "Bayou." I was actually hoping that someone had given the vent a SERIOUS name. As much as I don't really want promote my own designation, I will continue to call it "B-C Vent" for lack of anything better. --Tara Cross fanandmortar at hotmail.com > From: johnwarnock at msn.com > To: geysers at lists.wallawalla.edu > Subject: RE: [Geysers] Map of Giant Platform > Date: Thu, 13 Sep 2007 21:41:46 +0000 > > Tara: > > I did get into an discussion about the name for the vent between Bijou and > Catfish with Herb.
