For four days I've meant to mention that the Lower Station is open. They
have "Snacks" (quality junk food), "Drinks" (standard soft drinks, waters,
etc.), "Ice" (frozen water)... and REST ROOMS (unlocked).

If there's one thing to be said about Grotto-Giant, it's that they're
different every day. Yesterday, Grotto started at something around 1700. It was a
short marathon, because it had been off for a while as of 0700 today. Variable
Spring had already recovered but Bijou was still off.

The recover hot period started at 0910 -- my guess is not more than 4 hours
after the end of the Grotto. The duration was 9m 10s and Mastiff surged to 3
feet or so for a good part of that. But, there never was a flood of water like
that one yesterday and India was not fully covered. Another hot period was
just missed at roughly 1210, and then at 1415 was another with a duration of
5m 54s. This had some decent but intermittent Mastiff near the start, but then
Mastiff dropped below overflow at about 3 minutes, and it stayed there.

Artemisia's big steam cloud was just climbing up at 1008.

Riverside 0825 and 1421ie (we were watching the hot period).

Daisy on short intervals today: 0904ns, 1128, and 1350.

Oblong also on short intervals, erupting at 0757, 1140, and 1449.

Grand, unfortunately, is tending toward longer intervals. Yesterday to this
morning's 0309E was 15h 27m for two. Then today's 1139 (T1Q) is another 8h
30m.

Castle was "fun." It had a minor at 0210E -- no question but that it did
minor -- but the major did not happen until 8h 50m later, at 1100 exactly.

With all that, there's little info about Geyser Hill today. Depression was
at 0823ns. Aurum was 0935. Scattered Plumes at 0940 and 1322. No change at
Beehive. I saw Lion splash as early as 0900, but it still had not gone
(apparently) as of 1500.

Scott Bryan

KC and Julie have shown up. Today 66 degrees under blue sky. And 3 gazers!
