Geyser report, sort of. I cannot remember such a poor day of gazing -- I was in the UGB for 3 hours and wrote down exactly two announced electronic times plus one Plume. That's it! Grotto was in marathon. When it started is uncertain. It is known that Grotto was in eruption yesterday at around 1700 and still going at 1815, but that apparently was the end of the observations. Based on the water level in Variable Spring and Marathon Pool, I think it is possible that that eruption was normal, and that this marathon did not start until around midnight. In any case, the Giant Group was decidedly dead today. The NPS has issued a draft EIS regarding bioprospecting and other scientific research in the parks/ I haven't check it yet, but it is supposed to be available at: _http://parkplanning.nps.gov_ (http://parkplanning.nps.gov) . Then select "Washington Office" and go to "Benefits Sharing". Scott Bryan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
