Any list of references should include Donald White's "Hydrology, Activity, and 
Heat Flow of the 
Steamboat Springs Thermal System, Washoe County, Nevada" USGS Professional 
Paper 458-C.  It 
discusses the effect of barometric pressure and seasonal-to-daily groundwater 
levels.

(This info kindly pointed out by Alethea Steingisser, who also suggested 
references to papers on 
Rotorua by Cody, Lumb, and Allis, which I have not been able to check yet.)

Check out www.usgs.gov.  They have a publications warehouse that lists all 
kinds of interesting USGS 
papers, including many on Yellowstone (and paper 458-C).
