[Geysers] More help on Grand--Grand Geyser Basin as historic name

Lynn, all...

Over the years whenever I looked up an "Obsolete Place Name" in Nomenclature
I would jot down the source next to it, just for my personal information. I
have nothing in those notes to clarify this for you.

Both Henderson guides list the usual basin names, with the only variation in
today's nomenclature being "Silver Globe Basin" and "Mary's Geyser Basin".

Obsolete Place names are still showing up in "new" historic accounts, and I
hear that Lee's new VIP is making note of where those came from before
adding them to Lee's Obsolete Place Names List. Just like your query,
someone, someday, might want to know those tidbits of information.

Finding something "enroute to looking up something else" is the story of my
life!
This is what winter is for...Have fun!
