[Geysers] Geyser Report 8-12-06

Arrived in the UGB just before noon.

 

Dome was active and sounded like it had been active for several hours.

 

Little Squirt was not in eruption at noon, but was seen at 1811ie.

 

Castle had a major eruption at 1750.

 

Sawmill was in eruption every time I passed by it today.

 

Grand erupted at 1721 with 2 bursts.

 

Oblong erupted at 1648 for an interval of over 5 hours.

 

Grotto ended a short marathon (duration assumed to be around 10 hours)
around 1015.  Giant had the recovery hot period at 1410.  The hot period
lasted 9:17, with Mastiff surging up to about 2 feet.  At no time did
Mastiff or Giant ever appear that were interested in erupting.  This hot
period was followed by another one at 1752 that lasted 4:08.  In this hot
period, Mastiff surged up to about 3 feet.

 

Daisy erupted at 1218, 1516, and 1800.

 

Artemisa was 1715ie.

 

Black Diamond has not been seen in eruption in 8 days.
