[Geysers] A little more on "rude" gazers...

As one of the "rabble," I have stayed out of this conversation, but I just
can't resist anymore. I am not an expert on geysers. Many of you go to
Yellowstone more times in one year than I will go in my entire life. I like to
keep updated about what's going on because I'm interested in it and because
having a little knowledge makes my rare trips even more enjoyable.

Never in my wildest dreams do I think anyone who knows more than me "owes"
me something. Gazers are a group of people who happen to have one thing in
common. Any group of people has some that are more outgoing than others, some
that are friendlier, and some that may seem rude or actually be rude to
others. It would not be fair of me to expect any different. I myself am usually
a very nice person, but catch me on a bad day and your opinion would be
entirely different. When you are dealing with a stranger, you have no right to
expect anything. I would consider it rude to go up and start asking someone
questions just because they had a notebook. But now it's rude if that person
doesn't drop everything and spend their valuable time educating people?

It was way out of line for someone to write that letter anonymously. Fine,
say your piece, but have the guts to sign your name to it.
