PM MST Subject: Steamboat Geyser erupts
Steamboat, the world's tallest active geyser, erupted between 14:40 to
14:41 MDT
on the afternoon of Monday, May 23, 2004. Approximately 11,500 gallons of
water
were expelled by the eruption.
Eruptions of Steamboat are relatively rare. However, the last three
eruptions of
Steamboat were on March 26, 2003, April 27, 2003, and October 22, 2003.
