Regarding the mysteries of email, of which there are many, a few more
comments.

A list member says:

"This time your photo was imbedded in the email rather than attached as
a separate entity. So what did you do differently?"

Scott Bryan says:

"I did not do anything differently ( ! ! ), other than resize the photo
so that the one of the Wiley Camp was a much smaller file."

The Moderator says (as if I really know):

That's all the difference that is necessary. File size may affect how
the receiving mail client processes the file. It's also possible that
Mailman does something different, but I doubt that since the attachment
files came through to me in the same way for both sizes. So, I
speculate that Mailman sent out identical formats for the two cases, but
some receiving mail clients processed the attachments differently
because they were different sizes.

MA asks:

"Can the list-server receive emails with embedded photos? And will all
see them?"

As far as I know, yes. So far, Mailman has been more clever than I
expected. But, that doesn't mean that I can predict what it will or
will not do.
