The following item is reproduced verbatim from the West Yellowstone News of Friday, July 15, 2005: -------------- -quote- This came from Dave of Elk Mountain Photo. A young couple came into this store to ask him about hiring a photographer for their upcoming wedding. They told him a story: They were both avid Yellowstone Park Geyser Gazers, a group that keep each other apprised of geyser activities with personal radios. The young man wanted to marry the young woman. He wanted to be very correct about it, so he needed first to ask her father (also a geyser gazer) for her hand. He decided to ask Dad on a day when the whole group was in the Park. He called dad's cell phone on his own cell phone. The phone conversation somehow got patched into the radio. Geyser Gazers all over the Park, and anyone happening to be listening to a public radio at Old Faithful, heard the young man's declaration of love. -end quote- My, my.
