There's a trail that goes around the north side of the hill.  I think you can
land north of Burning Eyes.  At any rate, there is a marked boat landing as
far
as I remember and a trail that the boaters use.  The trail into the basin was
also rerounted a few years ago with a nice log crossing for the marsh-meadow.
