These are some belated notes about a few changes noted on Geyser Hill on the
13th and 14th of October.

After being seen occasionally in the two weeks prior to Giantess, Little
Anemone became active regularly on the 13th. It was seen to erupt about
every 15-20 minutes, sometimes in concert with Big Anemone. I was having
flashbacks from the early 90s.

Before Giantess, I observed Plume to be at its usual dormant water level.
When I walked around the hill after Giantess, the water level had risen 1-2
inches. When I looked at Plume again on the 22nd, the water level had
dropped 5-6 inches and was below its normal level.

Spume, or whatever feature is active in that crater, was erupting the day of
Giantess. Interestingly, we saw the water level rise and fall within the
crater between eruptions. Since the 22nd, I have seen the crater both full
and empty, and today (the 25th) I actually caught an eruption. I saw it
i.e. so I don't have a duration; it was definitely more than 4 minutes.

Beehive erupted 15 minutes before the start of Giantess on the 13th, at
1219. It was then reported by a desk worker at the Inn at 2345 that night
and followed with an eruption at 1334 on the 14th. The latter eruption was
preceded by lots of splashing but only 3 minutes of Beehive's Indicator.

Copper Kettle was in overflow on the 14th.

It may not be related at all to Giantess, but I noticed that the water level
in Marmot Cave had risen a few inches on the 12th.

Activity at Lion appeared to be pretty normal on the 13th. Little Cub
intervals may have shortened a bit, but my data is too sketchy to be sure
about that.

On the 13th, I saw Plate at 1015ns and then did not see it again for the
rest of the day. I looked at it several times, and the crater was full of
completely still water.

In the hours after Giantess started, Infant was churning around and
beginning to rise. The water level in Infant is still high as of the 25th.

Dave Goldberg mentioned to me that he had not seen any larger minors from
Butterfly recently. While I will admit that I haven't been looking that
closely, I haven't seen anything more than a few feet high from it, either
on the day of Giantess (when I was in the vicinity for much of the day) or
in my visits to Geyser Hill in the past few days.

Oh, and I don't think the Vault initial was ever reported. Giantess started
at 1234ns; Vault had its initial at 1717. It was a very nice eruption with
good thumps and a maximum height of 8-10 feet. Giantess turned out to be a
steam phase eruption; after the steam phase, it never really had distinct
eruptions, though there was water mixed in to 50-60 feet. By the morning of
the 14th, it was just steaming gently.
