Yeah, with respect, this seems a little
short-sighted. So many of the geysers change, cyclically if
nothing else, that, while data logged is data logged no matter
when, for a place like OF, it gives you nothing to go on while
you're physically in the park. I really miss that little grid they
used to let Ralph Taylor do that showed year-to-date as well as
the month and week prior. And is Hank missing the word
"volunteer?" In what universe do you ever want to turn down people
with experience who love their work so much they will work
for free?
with this strategy. One being that if a sensor
fails, it is going to take a while to find out
that it broke and that may cause huge loss of data
and that the data becomes more irreverent to
current activity for when your in the park with
fewer downloads because the data won’t be able to
be processed except at the beginning of the season
for winter data and after the end of the season
for summer data. These download dates I’m guessing
on based on the last launch and pull dates of the
current data.
