November 4 Beehive 0948 Beehive's Indicator 0934 Daisy 0754ie, , 1257, 1524ie Grand 1621 2 bursts Riverside 1047, 1709 Uncertain 1514 Fountain 1431 (per Maureen) Great Fountain 1422 (per Maureen) The big news, though, was that East Sentinel erupted shortly before 1600.  I had 1600ie by the time I looked at my watch, but it had probably been erupting for 1-2 minutes already.  I was sitting on the jugwalk at F&M facing Morning Glory Pool when I noticed steam billowing up in the trees behind.  It took me a few moments to register that the steam must be coming from East Sentinel, and then I had to gather my things to run over.  I couldn't see any water from a distance due to the wind direction.  As I approached East Sentinel it had a burst to about 20 feet that landed beyond the sawhorse above it.  After that, the height dropped to about 10 feet and then lessened over the next 5 minutes or so.  There was a vent up the little side stream to the south that was erupting a fine spray to about 10 feet.  Both the main vent and this side vent stopped at about the same time, for an approximate duration of 10 minutes.  There was a lot of matted grass in the area.  Steve Eide had looked at East Sentinel on his way to Artemisia earlier in the day and did not notice anything unusual, though he thought it might have been boiling stronger than normal.
