Hello Karen,

Interesting about Improbable Geyser. When it was erupting a few years ago part of the eruption fell on the ground between improbable and the boardwalk, making a small run off channel that disappeared when Improbable quit erupting. So maybe it has started up again. The main hill continues to be interesting this fall/winter.

Pathetic Little Hole (aka Improbable Geyser) has a new wash channel between its main runoff channel and the boardwalk. No bacteria growing in it, or visible geyserite deposition. It makes me think that Improbably may be doing something periodic, so it is something I'll keep an eye on throughout the winter.
