Looks to me like it is Clepsydra Geyser with Clep's Well in the foreground (in the Lower Geyser Basin) back when the boardwalk went around the "back" side of Clepsydra.
I got your email address from a Ranger
> at Old Faithful. The attached picture was taken at a Yellowstone geyser
> in 1956. I do not know which geyser it is. My wife and I talked with two
> Rangers at Old Faithful who have each worked in the Park for 35 years.
> Neither knew which one it might be. But they told us about your
> organization and they felt certain you'd be able to identify it.
>
> We would certainly appreciate any information you could give us. My
> family was on a vacation to Yellowstone that summer from North Carolina
> and I was six years old! I would love to return to this exact location.
>
> Thank you.
>
> Charles Stamey
> Bozeman, Montana
>
>
>
> --
> Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/

Insert movie times and more without leaving HotmailŪ. See how.
